Communication PCM

How do PCM enthusiasts talk to each other? 😊

If you’ve followed my blog or are already familiar with PCM, you know that the different PCM Personality Types have different character strengths, speak a different “language” and bring different things to the table.

We all have the Six Personality Types in us, in different orders and with different intensities, and we can all access their “resources” when needed. They are all OK and we are all OK.

Having a common vocabulary to express what we need and make sure our message reaches the other person (in any type of relationship – be it at work or home) helps a lot. And, no matter what your “common language” is, PCM-related or not, do use it 😊. It makes things easier.

In this article, I’ll use the language of PCM because, you know, this is what I do, what I love and what I bring to people with great passion every day 😊.

So if you have been through a PCM learning journey yourself or you are a PCM coach or PCM trainer, like me, I hope some of these phrases will sound familiar :). And if you have some of your own, please share them with me!

So… without further ado… let’s dig it!

How do PCM enthusiasts talk to each other?

When making decisions:

Please bring your Thinker to the table. We need to take all the data into consideration and be very logical about this decision.

When prepping for a meeting with a client:

Let’s do it! Show me your Promoter and let’s see some charm and adaptability. We’ve got this!

Watching “Love is Blind” on Netflix:

He has such a strong Rebel and she’s so strong on Thinker and Persister… uh… that’s a tough one!

When romantically involved:

I love your Base, I love your Phase, I love your Stages and all your Floors. You’re amazing on six different levels!

When one goes through a difficult situation:

Do you want my Harmoniser to listen to you now and be here for you, my Thinker to offer you solutions, my Rebel to cheer you up, my Persister to preach with you about how this is all wrong and it shouldn’t have happened, my Promoter to get this done for you/with you or my Imaginer to lend you some of its calm and to visualise different options to get out of this?

Discussing the impact of the last few years on all of us (Covid, wars, etc.):

Do you realise how many people have been Phasing lately? All the enriching emotions have been triggered by these events!

After a day in an amusement park:

Both my Rebel and my Promoter are so happy now! Batteries charged!

If you talk like this at home or work, please feel free to share some of your expressions with me :). I’ll gladly add them to this list 😉

Stay happy,

Magda.
